Find your Steam trade link
Your trade link lets a checkout send you a trade offer. Here is where Steam keeps it and how to copy it.
A trade link is a personal web address that lets someone send you a trade offer without being on your friends list. The checkout needs it to show your items and send you the offer.
Where to find it
- Open Steam (the app or steamcommunity.com) and sign in.
- Go to your Inventory.
- Click Trade Offers, then Who can send me Trade Offers?
- Scroll to Third-Party Sites. Your trade link is in the box there. Click Copy.
You can also jump straight to that page: open my trade link settings on Steam.
What it looks like
A trade link starts with https://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/ and ends with a partner number and a token. Paste the whole thing, from the very start to the very end.
Is it safe to share?
Yes. A trade link only lets someone send you an offer. Nothing moves until you accept it in Steam. If you ever want to stop offers from a link you shared, click Create new URL on the same Steam page. The old link stops working right away.
It says my link is not valid
- Make sure you copied the full link, not just part of it.
- If you clicked Create new URL recently, use the new link.
- Check that the link is for the Steam account that holds the items you want to use.
