Skins payments for Invision Community

A free payment gateway for Invision Community Commerce. Members pay with Steam items and their subscription or purchase activates on its own.

Gaming communities on Invision Community sell member subscriptions, paid clubs, store items and server perks. Their members live on Steam. With the SkinsFlow gateway they can pay with CS2, Dota 2 or Rust items instead of reaching for a card.

The member checks out in Commerce as usual and chooses Pay with skins. They pick items on the SkinsFlow checkout and accept one Steam trade. When the payment is final, the gateway marks the invoice paid and Invision Community applies what was bought: a member group, club access or a product.

Payments are credited to your SkinsFlow balance in USD after the 2.5% fee. Requests for donations with nothing in return are not supported; members always get something for their payment.

Configurer Invision Community

  1. Create a project

    Add your community under Projects & API keys in the SkinsFlow dashboard.

  2. Upload the application

    Unzip skinsflow-invision-community.zip and upload the applications/skinsflow folder into the applications folder of your community.

  3. Install it

    In the AdminCP open System, Site Features, Applications and install SkinsFlow.

  4. Add the payment method

    Go to Commerce, Payments, Payment Methods, Create New and choose SkinsFlow (pay with skins). Enter the Client ID, live secret and webhook signing secret; add a test secret if you want test mode. The Name field is what customers see.

  5. Connect the webhook

    Paste https://your-community/applications/skinsflow/interface/webhook.php into your project in the SkinsFlow dashboard as the Webhook URL, then press Send test webhook.

  6. Test, then go live

    Buy a test subscription in test mode, check the member group changes, then go live.

FAQ

Invision Community et les paiements en skins

What does the Invision Community gateway cost?

Nothing. The Invision Community gateway is free to download and use. SkinsFlow charges 2.5% of each payment credited to your balance, and nothing else: no setup fee, no monthly fee, no minimum volume. Failed, expired and returned payments cost nothing.

What can members pay for?

Anything sold through Commerce: subscriptions, products, paid clubs and renewals. Donations with nothing in return are not allowed under our Acceptable Use Policy.

What happens with Steam Trade Protection?

Steam can hold traded items for up to 7 days and return them to the customer in that window. A protected payment is not counted as paid yet: the invoice stays pending and nothing is applied yet. When the hold ends the payment completes on its own, or you can release it early in your SkinsFlow dashboard if you trust the customer.

Do renewals work?

Members pay each renewal invoice with skins when it is due. A Steam trade always needs the member to accept it, so renewals are not charged automatically.

How do refunds work?

A final skins payment is not reversed from your side. Give account credit, or send skins bought from our market.

Can I test before going live?

Yes. Turn on test mode and use your project's test secret. The checkout then shows real items with real prices but no item and no money moves, and buttons let you play every outcome: paid, protected, returned, declined. Test purchases never reach your live balance.
