Why some of my items are greyed out
Greyed-out items are in your inventory but cannot be used for this payment right now. Here is why.
At checkout you see every tradable item we found. Items you can use are bright. Greyed-out items are shown so you know we saw them, but they are not accepted right now.
Common reasons
- The item is trade-locked. Steam blocks trading for a few days after you buy or receive an item. It becomes usable when the lock ends.
- We cannot price it right now. Some items have too little market activity for a fair price. They are switched off until there is one.
- The item type is not accepted. Some kinds of items, such as very low-value ones, are not taken at this checkout.
What you can do
- Pick other items. The total updates as you select.
- Try again in a few days if the item was trade-locked.
- Click Reload if you just changed something in your inventory.
The checkout tells you how many of your items can be used, for example "12 of 20 items can be used".
