A small Python library for SkinsFlow: create payments, verify notices and read your balance from any Python backend or bot.
Python runs plenty of gaming backends, Discord and Telegram bots and stats sites. The SkinsFlow Python SDK lets them take skins with a few calls instead of a hand-written API client.
Your code creates a payment and sends the customer to the checkout link. The customer picks CS2, Dota 2 or Rust items and accepts one Steam trade. SkinsFlow sends a signed notice, the SDK verifies it, and you confirm the payment before you deliver.
It is framework-agnostic: call it from a Django view, a FastAPI route, a Celery task or a bot command. Test mode uses the same code with your test secret.
Django, Flask, FastAPI, bots and scripts. The client has no framework ties.
Create payments, read their status and buy skins from the market.
Check every notice with your webhook signing secret before acting on it.
Clear exceptions for bad requests, authentication and network problems.
Swap the secret to run every flow without real items.
Items like these are what your customers trade. Each one is valued the moment their inventory loads.
In the SkinsFlow dashboard, add your app under Projects & API keys and keep the secrets in environment variables.
Unzip skinsflow-python-sdk.zip into your project, or install it into your virtual environment.
Create the client with your Client ID and secret, create a payment and redirect to its checkout link.
Verify each notice with your webhook signing secret, read the payment again and deliver once.
In the SkinsFlow dashboard open your project, Settings, and enter your endpoint as the Webhook URL.
Run the flow with your test secret, then swap in the live one.
Nothing. The Python SDK is free to download and use. SkinsFlow charges 2.5% of each payment credited to your balance, and nothing else: no setup fee, no monthly fee, no minimum volume. Failed, expired and returned payments cost nothing.
The client is a simple synchronous library. Call it from a worker or thread if your app is fully asynchronous.
Yes. Create a payment when a user asks to pay, send the checkout link, and deliver when your webhook confirms the payment.
Steam can hold traded items for up to 7 days and return them to the customer in that window. A protected payment is not counted as paid yet: your webhook receives a protected status and you wait before you deliver. When the hold ends the payment completes on its own, or you can release it early in your SkinsFlow dashboard if you trust the customer.
In the developer docs. Every endpoint the SDK wraps is described there with examples.
Yes. Turn on test mode and use your project's test secret. The checkout then shows real items with real prices but no item and no money moves, and buttons let you play every outcome: paid, protected, returned, declined. Same code, different secret.
No dependencies, TypeScript types, ESM and CommonJS.
Create payments and check notices from any PHP site or framework.
One script tag: the checkout in a window over your page.
Open an account, add your site, install. Verification is free.
