Accept the trade offer safely

Before you accept, check that the items match and that the offer comes from the name shown at checkout.

After you send your items, we create one trade offer for you. The checkout shows a button to open it and the name of the account the offer comes from.

Before you accept

  • Check the sender. The checkout tells you the name the offer comes from. Decline any offer from another name, even if it looks the same.
  • Check the items. The offer should contain exactly the items you picked at checkout, and you should receive nothing in return.
  • Check the time. The checkout shows how long the offer is valid. Accept it before it runs out.

Stay safe

  • We never ask for your Steam password, your Steam Guard codes or your API key. Anyone who does is not us.
  • Never accept an offer you did not expect, and do not follow links to "confirm" a trade on another website.
  • If an offer looks wrong, decline it. Nothing leaves your inventory, and you can start again from the shop.

After you accept

Confirm the trade in the Steam Mobile App if Steam asks you to. The checkout page then shows the result. If Steam places the items on hold, see Steam Trade Protection.
